Cypress Fellowship has been a part of the Cypress community for about 20 years. We love our community, and our church family. The church began meeting in Arnold Middle School and slowly has worked it’s way to a building of our own!
Our number one priority will always be to fulfill God’s mission by presenting the Gospel and making disciples. We believe that the church begins with being His hands and feet. However, this does not take away the need to have a building where we can grow spiritually, gather in worship, and serve our community. We’re so thankful for all the volunteers through the years that have taken part of the work in making Cypress Fellowship what it is today.
We’re not a perfect church instead we’re a church that realizes our brokenness and understands that there is reconciliation in Christ Jesus. Living our lives being transformed by the Holy Spirit and obediently giving Him glory in every area of the life He so graciously gives us.
Pastor Jaime Ramirez
Established in 2002 with a handful of families CF met at Arnold Middle School which meant there was lots of packing and unpacking each week. Sundays were filled with trailers, and hard work but the gospel of Jesus Christ was preached in a small cafeteria until it was time to have our own space.
We found a space we could rent and prayed that we would make the rent each month and thankfully we did! Eventually we outgrew this space and we needed to have room for the kids to play, learn and grow. We needed our teens to make this home and we needed space for more weekly bible studies!
Our next stop was to Spring Cypress where we grew in numbers and even more in a spiritual sense. However our rent was looking at a major increase and it was time to look at possibly purchasing our own space.
So we found our home and made the leap to purchase the land in 2013 at $770,00. Today the current appraised value is $942,543!
Something that seemed like such an impossibility was now a reality! But the work continues!
